God Delivers Even the Littlest of Miracles

This little miracle happened on November 2017 while I was out at the grocery store shopping for my weekly groceries.

After retrieving my last item from my list, I quickly headed to the check-out lines hoping to find a short line at the register.  Unfortunately, all I saw were long lines of people waiting to check-out.  I usually don’t mind waiting for my turn, but that day I was in a hurry and I wanted out quickly.

As I made my way across the row of registers, I asked God in my mind, “God, get me out of here fast.”  Every register I walked by had a long line of people with full baskets.  My hope of getting out quickly was rapidly diminishing as I was nearing the last open register.  My excitement went up as I saw it had only one customer who was almost done checking out.  I said to myself, “Yes, I’m gonna make it!”  I was just about there, when at the last few seconds, a woman and a little boy with a full basket of groceries came from the opposite direction and beat me to it. She looked at me and smiled, like sorry, but I got it first.

I didn’t want to go back and check the registers again so I decided to stay and wait.  I thought, “That’s okay, I’ll wait.  I can’t expect God to help me out each time.”

Surprisingly, right after I thought that, the little boy takes off running back into the aisles.  The mother who was about to get her groceries out of the basket stops, turns to me and says with a smile, “You can go on ahead.”  She quickly moves her cart out-of-the way to let me in and runs after her little boy.

My jaw dropped in amazement!  God surely surprised and impressed me.  Wow! Thank you God.

I felt a little guilty, but I couldn’t go after someone else’s child unless they were running into danger.  I was out of the store in no time.
