A Flower from God

As you can see on the blog, I hadn’t written anything in a while.  Sometimes life gets too busy that I forget to keep my mind and heart centered on God.  And when that happens, God feels so distant to me.  Throughout last November though, I began sending him little messages from my heart.  “I miss you God”.  “I love you God.”  I missed and yearned to feel him close.  I continued sending him little messages through the early part of last December.

On December 4th, I had gotten up early to care for my baby grandson who was visiting for that week.  Getting up early and burning the midnight oil wears me down a bit.  By noon time, I needed a nap.

I must have slept for around twenty minutes, when I heard the sound of my baby grandson waking up from his nap in the other room and my husband tending to him.  I lay on the bed with my eyes closed just listening and thinking, “Okay, time to get up.”  When I opened my eyes, I saw something yellowish by the wall.  My mind began going a mile-a-minute trying to comprehend what it was.  I couldn’t believe what I was looking at.  Right before me was an incredible, heavenly, beautiful large golden-yellow flower!  The flower was made of light and I could see right through it.  It was made of different shades of soft yellows and gold.  Even the long stem and leafs were the same colors.  It seemed as though the long stem was coming out from the wall.  It was a big triangular shape flower.  It was large at the base and pointy at the other end.  The pointy end was pointing at me.  This flower was not of this Earth.  It was beautifully stunning and the colors were alive and electric.

I lay there in disbelief at first, as my mind was quickly trying to analyze what was going on, but then I decided to take it for what it was and just savor the moment and enjoy the gift.  This flower must be Heaven-sent from God!  I kept my eyes on the flower and didn’t move.  After a minute, it started to disappear little by little until it was all gone.

I knew it was from God as I had been sending him messages.  What a brilliant and loving way of letting me know, he hears me.

After my experience, I was eager to find something online that resembles what I saw that day. The Butterfly Bush is the closest flower that (I could find), except the flower I saw was bigger at the base and larger.

You too can experience these things.  Remember the Bible verses on Matthew 7:7?  Well that’s what I do.  I seek God out, I ask and I knock a lot!

Matthew 7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
