Rainbows Outside My Window

It was a little past noon and the sun was shining bright in the cloudless sky.  I was sitting at the dining room table busy with my dream research while listening to Christian music.  I closed the large window mini-blinds due to the sunlight bouncing off from the outside wooden fence into the dining room window.

As I was listening to the song “Well Done” by the Afters, I began thinking, “Out of my whole life, what is my biggest regret so far?”  My heart was saddened when I thought of the time a few years back.  I was helping out at the ticket sales at an event.  There were around five or six of us and we all had long lines of people waiting to pay to get in to the event.  During the mad rush, an elderly woman with two boys came to my line.  They didn’t have enough money to get in, and I felt so bad afterwards that they didn’t get to go in.  I didn’t think quick enough to just let them in, but they were gone and lost in the crowd before I got the chance to let them in.  That still bothers me to this day.

A few minutes later, I heard a gush of wind blowing outside the dining room window.  It didn’t sound the same as many other times when storm winds blow in.  It sounded different and beautiful with a feeling of excitement.  It sounded like music as the gush of wind blew the small raindrops onto the glass window.  I thought it was strange that the wind wasn’t blowing on the other close-by windows. It was localized to just one window to my right.  I could feel the excitement in the winds as if they were telling me telepathically to open the mini-blinds.  It was the same feeling I got in my other true story, “Into the Twilight Zone of Heaven”.  Where there was excitement in the air, same thing here.

I excitedly rushed to open the blinds to see what was going on, but by the time I opened the bIinds, the winds had stopped.   I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary, but I noticed the sun wasn’t shining anymore and the sky was now overcast.  So I sat back down at the table and after a few seconds, I glanced out the window and saw a double rainbow.  I rushed outside to take a picture as I love rainbows.  You don’t get to see them very often and I hadn’t seen one in a long time.  When I took the picture, only half of the rainbow was left and then it vanished.

I came back inside and sat down again.  Then after another few seconds, I looked outside the window again and to my surprise, another beautiful double rainbow!  I again ran outside and took the picture you see on the blog.  It was a whole, beautiful double rainbow! It was so big and so close that I couldn’t capture the whole rainbow.  It was beautiful!  To see two different rainbows minutes apart in the same area?  Wow, it was breathtaking!

I felt as if God was sending me the message that it was okay and to let go of the sadness.

If God hadn’t commanded the winds to blow on my window, I would have missed the two double rainbows. Thank you God!
