Amazing Grace…That Saved a Wretch like Me

We can all relate to the beautiful song sung by Taya Smith from Hillsong Worship “Broken Vessels, Amazing Grace”.  I love hearing that song.  We are all broken in some way and lost, but if we seek God, we will be found and saved.

I relate to that song because I was once a wretch, but I was finally found and saved.  I had been seeking and pursuing God since my early teens, but at the same time I had many demons in my temple which they had rights to, because of generational sins.  I didn’t know that sins are passed down from parents and grandparents.  I remember when I was young, my dad used to drink a lot and go gambling with his friends.  That sin of drunkenness was passed down to some of his children.  There was also adultery and divorce in my past generation and that has been passed down too.  There’s more, but you get the picture.

And then there were my sins that I had no idea I was committing.  I used to burn sage to clean the energy in the house, new age, reading horoscopes, astrology, un-forgiveness and judgments, etc.  I had no idea some were sins.

So, if you haven’t noticed by now, there is an intensifying spiritual war of evil going on in this world.  Demons have a strong hold on those people they have already captured but they can’t touch those that have accepted Jesus as their savior and sin no more, they’re saved.

If you have sinned and haven’t accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the demons have rights to enter into your temple (you) and you will experience some type of illness (cancer, heart issues, dementia or allergies, you name it, the list goes on and on).  You will also experience troubles in your life.  If you have some type of illness or have some type of trouble going on in your life, you’ve got demons!

Demons are the ones responsible for causing havoc in our lives.  Some of the sins they cause include pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, sloth, addiction, cheating, criticism, adultery, divorce, drunkenness, fear, envy, jealous, greed, gluttony, lying, lustful, pornography, hate, selfishness, occult or new age, yoga, stealing, unforgiving, workaholic, gossip, witchcraft, murder, sex out of marriage, etc.  Anything that goes wrong in your life, demons are responsible for that.

Our temple should be filled with God’s light, but our temple turns dark black when we commit sins.

Those that have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior and sin no more, don’t experience illnesses nor experience troubles in their life.  They live a happier life!

Jesus died on the cross to save us and to wash us clean with his holy blood.  When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are saved and get to go to Heaven when you depart from this world.

The following salvation prayer is by Pastor Mark Price, “Heavenly Father, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I turn away from my sin to be born again.  Forgive me of my sin, transgressions, iniquities, negligence, and trespasses. I believe that You, Jesus Christ are the Son of God and One with God. I receive Your sacrifice for me. You are the One and only God, and I make you Lord over my life. I trade my will for Your will. Fill me with your Holy Spirit now. Cleanse me and fill me in Jesus name, Amen!”

Note that if you prayed the salvation prayer, you get to go to Heaven, but if you haven’t repented of all your sins, you won’t be able to enter the throne room where God is.  Imagine a big city that has suburbs surrounding it.  You would be in the outskirts or suburbs of Heaven.  I want to be in the big city, Heaven, where God lives.   God wants all of us in Heaven with him and that is why he sent Jesus to save us.

Jesus did his part by dying on the cross for us and shedding his blood to wash us clean, but we also have to do our part by repenting for each sin with our mouths and not in our minds.  We have to repent of each sin separately to be clean ourselves.  Remember, Heaven is a holy place and if we want to live there, we have to be clean.

Again, I highly recommend Beatty Carmichael’s book, “The Prayer of Freedom, A step-by-step guide to freedom”.  He provides the prayers for repentance along with the lists to make of all your sins.

God the Heavenly Father loves you and every single one of us.  He loves us so much to this day that he sent his only Son, Jesus, to shed his blood and die on the cross for us.  He wants all of us to go back home to him.  GOD loves YOU and is patiently waiting for you.

As mentioned from my last true story, My Messy Room, I mentioned signs I received from God that something was working by doing the step-by-step prayers from “The Prayer of Freedom” book.

Well on Friday, May 15, 2026, I received another sign.  In my actual house, we have a front door that has glass on the top half.  Our house faces the West where the sun sets and the light of the sun shines through the glass in the evening hours.  I usually have to close the curtains on the door because the light of the sun is too bright that it’s hard to watch television.  Well on the morning of May 15th, I had a vivid dream of my front door, but in the dream the door didn’t have the curtains.  In the dream, I was standing inside of my front door and I saw that in the center of the glass was a large piece of blackness that was trying to block the light from coming in.  The brilliant bright white light was shining in from all around the blackness.  I saw that light was taking over the darkness.  I understood that I still had prayers to do to get rid of all the darkness in my temple.

Another sign just this morning of May 18th, I woke up around 5 AM and as I turned to my other side to go back to sleep, I said, “Good morning my sweet Heavenly Father” and went back to sleep.  A few hours later as I lay in bed about to get up, the word “Nur” popped into my mind.  I thought nur, what on earth does that mean.  I’ve never heard of that word.  Is it even a word?  I looked it up on the net and surprisingly it’s a word.   This is what it means.

“Nur (also spelled Noor or Nour) is a unisex name of Arabic origin that means “light,” “illumination,” or “radiance.” In Islamic tradition, the term holds deep spiritual significance:  It symbolizes divine guidance, wisdom, and faith.”  That was God communicating right back to me!  Awesome!

Help bring someone to God by sharing this story.  They might be in the dark about the need of repenting of sins and needing to be saved.

Believe it or not, there is a spiritual war going on between Heaven and hell and people need to hear and know the truth.  So do your part and share the truth.

Proverbs 4:20-23 My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.  Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.  For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.  Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
